Joyce D'Andrea Obituary

Joyce D'Andrea
Born: April 2, 1961 in Pittsburg, PA
Died: August 19, 2024 in Cary, IL
Joyce M. D'Andrea, 63, of Cary, passed away peacefully on Monday, August 19, 2024. Born in Pittsburgh, PA, on April 2, 1961, Joyce was the beloved daughter of James and Eileen (nee Riley) Rush.
On October 10, 1987, Joyce married Joseph D'Andrea in Chicago. She found her greatest joy in being a mother to her two sons, Anthony and Marcus, whom she cherished deeply.
A graduate of the Rockford Memorial School of Nursing, Joyce spent 30 years as a dedicated nurse, providing care and comfort to countless patients. Her commitment to helping others extended into her volunteer work with P.A.D.S. and her role as a C.C.D. teacher at Saints Peter and Paul Catholic Church.
Joyce enjoyed dancing and traveling, but her true happiness came from cooking for and laughing with her family and friends.
She is survived by her husband, Joseph; her sons, Anthony (Anna) D'Andrea and Marcus D'Andrea; and her siblings, James (Kathy) Rush, Jr., Louise (Steve) Borosak, Donna (Roger) Lee, Thomas (Marion) Rush, and Sally (Scott Zukowski) Rush. Joyce was preceded in death by her parents.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that memorial contributions be made in Joyce's honor to the Alzheimer's Association or the Mayo Clinic.
