Anthony D'Andrea Obituary

Nelsonville Anthony James D'Andrea, 67, of Ward Township, Ohio, passed away on Monday, March 2, 2026, leaving behind a legacy of service, skill, and steadfast love for his family. Born on November 26, 1958, in Franklin County, Ohio, to Donato E. and Bonnie R. Thompson D'Andrea, he grew up with a strong work ethic and a quiet determination that carried him through every chapter of his life.

After proudly serving his country in the United States Army, Anthony built a respected career as a journeyman machinist. His precision, patience, and deep understanding of his craft earned him the role of lead machinist and team leader, where he mentored younger workers and set a standard of excellence that others still follow. He took pride in doing things the right way: methodically, steady, and dependable.

Outside of work, Anthony found joy in the open road on his motorcycle, the peace of early mornings in the woods on his family farm, and the simple satisfaction of a well-spent day. But nothing mattered more to him than time with his son, Tony. Whether they were working on a project, riding motorcycles, or just talking about life, those moments were the heart of who he was.

Anthony is survived by his loving wife, Gina McKnight D'Andrea; son, Tony David (Ashley); siblings, Christopher (Debra) D'Andrea, Daniel (Anne) D'Andrea, Marco (Melissa) D'Andrea, Angela (Barney) Raye, JoAnn (John) Reese; twelve nieces and nephews; nine great nieces and nephews; best friend, Walt Goddard; and by friends who knew him as loyal, honest, and always willing to lend a hand. He was preceded in death by his parents; father and mother-in-law, Virgil and Nina McKnight; and brothers-in-law, David Eric McKnight and Jack Harvey Houchard.

A celebration of Anthony's life will be held at Noon on Saturday, March 7, 2026, Souers-Cardaras Funeral Home, 46 Fayette Street Nelsonville, Ohio; with Rev's Mike Thomas and Glenn Collins officiating. Calling hours will take place at the funeral home from 10:00 - Noon prior to the service. A private burial with military honors will be in the D'Andrea Family Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the Leukemia And Lymphoma Society. Anthony D'Andrea
