I only knew Kay briefly from working with her at Sears, but in that short time, she made quite an impression. She was so "real" and so easy to work with. Her smile could light up a room. I am saddened to hear of her passing, but comforted to know she is no longer suffering. Rest in peace, Kay. You are greatly missed!

My deepest sympathy to the family. The short time I worked with Kay at Sears she was such a fighter and would not let people know how courageous she really was. She truly will be missed.

I worked with Kay at GFX and she was such a super person and good friend. She had so much to give and she always talked about her kids and how much she worried about them. She also was always there when a friend needed help. Friends like Kay are rare. Rest in peace, Kay, we will miss you.

I always admired Kay for courage in her fight against cancer. I was so sorry to hear that it claimed her life. My thoughts and prayers go out to Matt, Kelly & Maryanne.

Kay, May you rest in peace. May the dear Lord comfort your family and may we meet again in God's heavenly kingdom. Tell all the magicians up there to smile down on us continuing their work. With great sadness. Al The Only and Lori

Matt and Kelly. Words cannot express enough to fix the loss you are feeling right now. Know that Mom is with other loved ones and is no longer in pain. She was my neice and 'little sister'. I know she loved both of you very much. And I know, Kelly, how thrilled she was to be able to hold Kayla. Keep well, both of you.

Kay started out as my neighbor, and ended up being a very good friend, one that I could count on. She had the best laugh and the only one who could get my husband to dance. I'll always cherish the memories of going to flea markets and antique stores with her.
I'll miss you Kay!

To Matt, Kelly and all of Kay's family, please accept my sympathy.
I am sorry to hear about Kay's passing. I met Kay about eight years ago, I interviewed with her for a position at GFX International. In the five years that I worked at GFX, I always knew her to be a resourceful, positive, energetic, person.
Kay loved her family; she loved life, approaching every day with enthusiasm ready for new challenges. Kay maintained a positive outlook when faced with adversity, always striving for the best, correct possible solution.
With Sympathy Sincerely,
Ron Harris
P.S.
Kay was a good friend, I believe she lived her life understanding the powerful words expressed by, Saint Francis of Assisi in his Prayer For Peace:
Lord, make me an instrument of your peace,
Where there is hatred, let me sow love;
Where there is injury, pardon;
Where there is doubt, faith;
Where there is despair, hope;
Where there is darkness, light;
And where there is sadness, joy.
O Divine Master, grant that I may not Seek to be consoled as to console;
To be understood as to understand;
To be loved as to love;
For it is in giving that we receive,
It is in pardoning that we are pardoned,
And it is in dying that we are born to eternal life.

Kay knew the importance of living in the moment
I can't think of a better legacy than that people follow her example in enjoying life's small and great pleasures, making the best of situations, loving family unconditionally, and being compassionate. Also remember to smile all the time and laugh a lot. Smiling is one of the most underrated tools for happiness.
Tragically, the Good do die young! Kay was a rare soul, one who was with us much, much too short of a time. R.I.P.

I met Kay as a co-worker, and was blessed to have such a friend.
Our meetings would begin with business and transcend into getting down to the "real stuff," like..."how are you really feeling," and "what's really going on," and "how can I help?" Two way conversations, sometimes tears.
Kay was a warrior and an inspiration as a person, and friend. Her smile was a comfort. I am sad that we have lost her, but relieved she is no longer struggling.
I Miss You, Kay

My thoughts are with you at this time of loss. Kay was a very special person to me and I have already missed our days together working at Sears. I will miss her energy, her friendship, our coffee discussions and mostly her smile and courage.
