I was an exchange student from Australia in 1988/89 and spent a lot of time with the Hartman family. Karen was such a wonderful caring and loving person. The day I left to go back to Australia she gave me a care package so thoughtfully put together, so I´d always have a little bit of Marengo with me.
My love and thoughts to Bob, Tim, Julie, Melissa, Erin, and Family.
She was a very special lady. She will always be my American Mum. Forever in my heart.

Was very sorry to hear about Mrs. Hartman passing. We still talk about her when my husband would take our youngest to school and she would grab his pant leg crying wanting to go back home and Mrs. Hartman would come over and take her by the hand and assured my husband she would be fine, and she was. She was truely a beautiful lady inside and out. Strength to all of you during this difficult time. Sincerely Zieba Family.
