Died: December 11, 2024 in York, ME
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Lauri Jo Harr a recent resident of York, ME and prior resident of Cary, IL. She left us on December 11, 2024 at the age of 61. Her spirit, her infectious laughter, and her love for her family will be deeply missed.
Born in Dover, New Hampshire on September 19, 1963, Lauri was vibrant and such a caring individual who touched the lives of many. She always found ways to show kindness and warmth to those around her. Lauri was known for her love of animals, shopping, watching movies, spending time with her family, and most of all her sweet tooth for candy. Lauri was a very creative person who had a good eye for decor. She went out of her way to make others feel important and loved. Her dedication to nursing was a testament to her caring nature.
She is survived by her sons Conor Smith and Jack Smith, her parents Larry and Constance Harr, and her siblings Robin (John) Silvia, Kendra (Robert) Rieder, Brock (Audra) Harr, and Kennis Harr. Lauri had many nieces and nephews who she loved deeply and who adored her young-at-heart nature. She was preceded in death by her sisters Candace Mason and Tracy Harr. Lauri was profoundly loved by her family, friends, and all who knew her.
A memorial service will be decided at a later date where we will come together to celebrate her life and share our memories. Though Lauri has left us too soon, she will never be forgotten. May she rest in peace.

I met Lauri as a little girl in Dover NH at elementary school - we became such good little friends - she was always so kind and funny and always wearing 2 different socks ! She moved away when we were young and it broke my heart - 2 years ago I was helping to meet the new clinical staff at orientation at Core Physicians and as i introduced myself she told me her name ! We both cried and hugged - after so many years my long lost little friend was right in front of me !! It was amazing to reconnect with such a kind , caring , beautiful person again xxoo rest easy Lauri

I have not seen or spoken to my sister in many years, but I know she loved and deeply cared for her family and friends. She was a very giving person, always willing to help others, and, as one of my sisters stated, was 'everyone's cheerleader.' I will miss you.
