Leonard Mueller Obituary
He was born Oct. 30, 1948, in Elmhurst, to Vernon and Margaret (Fiene) Mueller. He was raised in Schaumburg and graduated from Conant High School in 1966. He was employed as a machinist in a couple of businesses, and in 1985 he went to work for Marquardt Engineering in Crystal Lake. In 1995 the company moved to Huntley and he bought the business in December 2001. He loved his family and especially his grandchildren, he always was there to cheer them on. He enjoyed his trips to Las Vegas, classic cars and cruise nights, and especially his Friday night dinners with friends.
He was the loving father of Brian (Sue) Mueller of Huntley and Kristi (Tim) Kuhns of Montgomery; loving grandfather of Tyler, Jacqui, Nicki, Brenden and Paytynn; loving brother of LeRoy (Fran) Mueller of Beaufort, S.C., and Lynette (Jack) Edwards of Bloomington; and uncle to many nieces and nephews.
The visitation will be 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 2, at DeFiore-Jorgensen Funeral Home, 10763 Dundee Road, Huntley. Funeral services will be at 1:30 p.m. Friday, Dec. 3, at the funeral home. Burial will be in Lakewood Memorial Park in Elgin.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Heart Association.

Mueller Family,
Our deepest sympathies to you. Our Dad/Pat had done business with Len/Marquardt Engineering for many years. He always spoke highly of everyone there and was glad there was s great supplier so close to us that he could hop in the car and get that part we needed to repair our equipment. He was very exited for you guy's when you took on the gear business, he loved seeing an action packed operation cutting steel. We lost Pat this year also,we hope you find the comfort we have found in continuing to run the company your dad built.

Brian, I am so sorry about the sudden loss of your father. He taught me a lot about "real word" engineering and I will remember his ability to come up with creative solutions to make things less complicated. He will be missed. You and your family will be in my prayers.
