Lisa Pieper-Gaa Obituary

Died: November 15, 2018
Lisa Jean Pieper-Gaa was born on November 5th, 1987 at Good Shephard Hospital in Barrington. She grew up in McHenry, IL and graduated from McHenry East High School in 2006.
She attended Northern Illinois University nursing program and graduated in 2010. Lisa found her passion in life working with babies in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit at Lutheran General Hospital.
Lisa married the love of her life, Brian Gaa at the Oshtoff Resort in Elkhart Lake, WI. August 26, 2017.
Lisa is survived by her husband, Brian Gaa; her parents, Chris Pieper and Judy Gavin; her brother, Tommy Pieper and his wife, Maggie, and their son, Russell; her sister, Cinda Powers and her husband, Stephen.
In December of 2016, Lisa was diagnosed with terminal brain cancer, but she never stopped living her life to the fullest. Lisa fought to defy the prognosis, the statistics, and the timelines given to her. She wanted every second given to her to be filled with love and activities involving family and friends. Lisa had a zest for life that was infectious and she lit up every room she entered.
In honor of Lisa's zest for life, a Life Celebration has been arranged by her family on November 25th, 2018 from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm. Located at Countryside Banquets, 28874 W IL 120, Lakemoor, IL. 60051.
In lieu of flowers, please donate to The BTB foundation, an organization that provides financial assistance to local families battling cancer, by visiting www.btbfoundation.org.
