On Thursday, March 17th , 2022, Mary Emma Summers Mueller, loving wife, and mother of two daughters and two sons passed away peacefully at home. Mary was 80 and died from complications of COPD.
She was born February 6, 1942 in Chicago, IL to Emma and Raymond Summers. She was the last born of three children. She had one brother and one sister. She is survived by her sister, Catherine Dennison (Robert). She was preceded in death by her parents Raymond and Emma and her brother Raymond, otherwise known as "Red" Summers.
Mary was raised in Chicago and graduated from Foreman High School. She met her husband Tony where they both worked at ITW in 1969. They have been married for 52 years. They moved out to Volo in 1969, where she worked at the Volo Auto Museum and was a parishioner at Saint Peters.
She was an upbeat and fun-loving mother to Michele (Brad), Devin (Laura), Matthew (Katie) and Aimee (Joseph). She was a sweet and kind grandmother to Brandon, Katia, Remi, Rylan, Reiden, Aiden, Locke, Ashlyn, Rinoa and Anton. She loved to play with her grandchildren and their toys.
Mary was supportive of Tony's adventures. She went skiing, fishing and even tried canoeing in Canada. She was also happy to send Tony off on his occasional trips with his friends while she managed the family and home.
Funeral Mass will take place on Saturday, May 14 at The Church of Holy Apostles. 5211 Bull Valley Rd. McHenry, IL 60050 at 10:30AM.
