Died: April 5, 2025 in Johnsburg, IL
Nancy Blake of Johnsburg, Illinois, passed away peacefully at her home on April 5, 2025 at the age of 86. She was surrounded by her loving family, who sent her to Heaven with love. Nancy was born on November 13, 1938 to Harold and Viola (Thennes) Justen. On May 21, 1960, she married the love of her life: Donald Blake; both of them were hard working people. They put God first and family second by building a family on their own with their Children: Debbie, Mat, and David. The Blakes were open to all visitors of families, friends, and people, including animals: dogs, cats, chickens, and many others. Nancy treated everyone equally. She enjoyed the simple pleasures in her life: playing computer games, laughing, and little chocolate treats, especially KitKat. Nancy also truly loved all of her Grandchildren: Nicholas Blake, Magdalena Blake, Victoria Blake, Alexandra Blake, Hunter Blake, and Frankie Blake. They brought her pure joy by listening to all of them on what they were doing and experiencing in their lives. The memories of Nancy's unconditional love, and honesty will be treasured forever. Nancy is survived by her Husband: Donald Blake; Daughter: Debbie Drinkwater; Daughter-in-laws: Jennifer (Tomaselli) Blake, and Kimberly Suda; Grandchildren: Nicholas Blake, Magdalena Blake, Victoria Blake, Alexandra Blake, Hunter Blake, and Frankie Blake; Brothers: Butch Justen and Henry Justen (Pam); and her Aunt Stella Vogt. She was preceded in death by her sons: Mathew Blake and David Blake; Sister: Marie Henderson; and Brother: Kenny Justen. Nancy's family will hold a funeral Mass service on April 16 at St. Mary Catholic Church. 1401 N Richmond Rd. McHenry Il. 60050. Visitation starts at 10 am Funeral Mass at 11:00am. She will be laid to rest at a later date. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Justen Funeral Home & Crematory, McHenry, IL.
