Died: March 22, 2018; in Winfield, IL
Norie Seino, 70, of Sun City, Huntley, Illinois, unexpectedly passed away from a subarachnoid hemorrhage on Thursday, March 22, 2018 at the Northwestern Medical Central DuPage Hospital in Winfield, Illinois.
She was born on September 3, 1947 in Japan, the daughter of Yasuichi and Tomie Matsumiya. She grew up in Ageki with two older brothers and a younger sister and in school ran track and played volleyball. She married Kazuo "Casey" Seino and shortly thereafter, in the early 1970's, they immigrated to the United States, first to New Jersey and then to the suburbs of Chicago, Illinois. Norie was an exceptional mother, a devoted wife, and a woman of many talents. Her love for sewing and fashion led her to working in sales for many years at The Little Traveler in Geneva, Illinois. When she and Casey moved to Huntley in 2005, she was a vibrant member of the community, involved in several groups, including knitting, numerous art clubs, and tennis leagues. She was most known for her generous heart and for sharing her gifts, time, and creativity to her many friends. Though gentle in spirit, she was a fierce competitor on the tennis court.
She is survived by her husband, Casey; her daughter, Dr. Kathy Seino of Pullman, Washington; her mother, Tomie; her sister, Taeko; and brother, Yasunori.
She was preceded in death by her father; her brother, Kinji; and her niece, Eri Yamaguchi.
A Memorial Gathering celebrating her life will be held from 2:00 to 5:00 p.m. on Saturday, March 31st at the DeFiore-Jorgensen Funeral & Cremation Service, 10763 Dundee Road, Huntley.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Heart Association www.heart.org.

I am so sorry to hear about Norie's passing. I just met her this year but really enjoyed playing tennis with her. She was such a sweet person.. my heart goes out to both her husband and daughter.

I worked with Norie for many years and she was the best boss ever!!! She was such a bright light and so much fun. The last time we talked I told her how much I loved working with her and we laughed at some fun stories. May you Rest In Peace sweet Norie and know that you will be missed.
