Patrick Mahoney Obituary
Patrick Joseph Mahoney, age 84, of Wonder Lake, passed away peacefully Wednesday evening, February 24, 2021, in JourneyCare in Barrington. Patrick was born December 16, 1936 in Chicago, Illinois, the son of Thomas and Florence (Irwin) Mahoney.
Patrick served in the U.S. Air Force Reserve for 6 years. On September 21, 1974, Patrick married the love of his life, Marie Louise Sullivan at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church in Chicago.
Patrick is survived by his loving wife, Marie Mahoney; sister, Kathleen (Mario) Faldani of Joliet, IL; brother, Thomas (Sheila) Mahoney, of Northbrook, IL; and nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Thomas and Florence Mahoney.
A Memorial Mass will be celebrated at a later date, to be announced, in Christ The King Church, 5006 E. Wonder Lake Road, Wonder Lake. Private inurnment will be in All Saints Cemetery in Des Plaines.
In lieu of flowers, memorials donations may be made in Patrick's name to De La Salle Institute, 3434 S. Michigan Avenue, Chicago, IL 60616 or American Diabetes Association, 55 E. Monroe, Suite 3420, Chicago, IL 60603 (www.diabetes.org)

I met Patrick at DePaul University in September of 1955. We ere good pals and often double dated with him at the frat dances. I am so sorry to learn that Pat died. He was a little older than me, but was still young at Heart! God welcomed him into eternal life. He will be missed.
