My husband and I moved to Fl. 7 yrs ago. We are still searching for a dentist who can measure up to Dr. Raabe. He set the standard so high that it cannot be met. Rest in peace Dr. Raabe.

Just returned from out of the country to find your letter, Adam. Sorry to have missed the celebration of Dr. Raabe's life. His legacy will live on.....such a talented and skilled dentist, but I will remember him more for his KIND and COMPASSIONATE personality. January 16th was my last visit with your father...a consultation regarding a mouth guard I had been using for snoring. He spent over 30 minutes with me.....at no charge. Fortunately I had the opportunity to praise him directly for his skill, knowledge, and kind words. He will be missed. Love to you, Adam, and to your sister, Joanna. ( Years ago he gave me tickets to attend your dancing, Joanna, at the Woodstock Opera House.) He bragged about you two often! HIS memories will never die.

I am going to Dr. Raabe's office today for the first time without him there. It will be HIS office to me for a very long time. It is going to be very difficult for me to do. I cry even as I type this message. I miss you so much my friend!

My condolences to his family. Please know that your dad, My Dr. Raabe was my dentist for over 35 years! I was one of his "oldest" patients starting at the Ambutal. My parents also saw him when they lived in Crystal Lake and then moved to Lake Carroll, IL. Even after that move, they kept their 2x/year appointments traveling almost 300 miles RT just for their appointments with him. They are gone now and Dr. Raabe was so compassionate when I went through this loss. He will always be remembered as a caring, empathetic dentist who truly wanted to know "so what's going on?" Even though he'd ask me questions while I had my mouth wide open at the lowest position of that chair?

I just received the (late) sad news today about Dr.Raabe's passing and was saddened. I worked for the Dr. Saturdays in the early 90 's and still remember his generosity, sense of humor and kindness to me. I especially remember the wonderful Christmas parties at the office where we would play the dictionary game and all laughed til we cried. I treasure the whimsical Hallmark moving and lighted ornaments Dr. Raabe gave me. Each year at Christmas when the ornaments are displayed, I think of my time at the office working for Dr Raabe.

I started using Dr. Raabe in the 1980's when he first opened his practice at the Ambutal. My teeth were a mess, and Dr. Raabe was so gentle and kind. He fixed all my teeth and gums, but more importantly with his great work on my new great smile and our positive talks, I went back to school and became a successful Realtor. Randy was a great guy, great friend, and we are all better because of him. Thank you Randy Raabe!

I was a dental school classmate of Randy and although we lost touch through the years I was so saddened to hear of his passing. Because our last names are so close in the alphabet we were usually in the same labs...he made me laugh...always..in dental school few people had that gift! and I will always remember that quality he had! My husband was one of Doc's very first patients, and thru the years, all our family members became his patients as well. Marty kept Doc's computers running thru the years, in exchange for many wonderful hours of chat. Randy's heart was bigger than he was, contributing generously to the Animal Shelter I represent, as well as buying my very first jewelry creations for his staff to wear. We will miss him greatly, and he will be remembered with much love and joy.

I attended dental school with Randy where we'd often play pinocle during breaks. His humor would always lighten a stressful day. Because I practiced in the south suburbs, I'd often refer northwest suburban family and friends to Randy. After meeting him they'd always send the most sincere thanks. Great colleague!

Randy's Dad recommended his son to us and we loved him. Since our move to N.C. 15 years ago we keep in touch through mutual friends and were so sorry to hear of his passing. Doc had so much going for him. He was professional. He was proficient and so personable. What a blessing to have all those traits. He had a true compassion for people. So sorry to hear about Randy's passing. He's been our family dentist for over 25 years, first treating my wife and I, then our children and now our grandchildren. I'll miss his smiling face and our never ending talks about the Bears and his (and mine) beloved White Sox.. Spent many more hours in a dentist chair than anyone could ever imagine. Some of the time was actually for dental work! :))
God bless you Randy and your family. You touched my family in more ways than you can imagine and we have been blessed that you have been part of our lives for so many years.
They say that going to the dentist is one of the top fears for people. I for one looked forward to our visits!!!
