Randall Waters Obituary

Randall Roland Waters
Born: March 20, 1951 in Akron, OH
Died: August 26, 2025 in Lake in the Hills, IL
Randall Roland "Randy" Waters, of Lake in the Hills, passed away peacefully at home on August 26, 2025
Randy's passions were sports-especially golf and hockey-and cooking. Weather permitting, he could always be found on the golf course, dedicated to improving his game. He was an exceptional golfer whose favorite memories included winning 1st Place at the Medinah Classic, being a Member-Guest Champion at Village Greens Men's Club of Woodridge with his friend Bill Konecny, and competing in the 2011 Chicago Club Managers Foundation at Twin Orchard Country Club, as well as traveling with friends to Myrtle Beach and Florida for golf getaways.
In addition to golf, Randy loved hockey-both playing in his younger years and cheering on the Chicago Blackhawks. He also enjoyed horse racing and never missed the Arlington Million.
Outside of sports, Randy built a remarkable career as a corporate chef, sharing his culinary talents at The Terrace, The Galleon, Ala Carte Entertainment, and Port Edward. He also created menus for Cadillac Ranch, Excalibur, and Dumas Walker's, leaving his signature touch on many dining experiences.
Randy met his life partner, Rita Irving, at The Galleon in St. Charles in 1982. He is also survived by his son Tony, grandson Jett, mother Charlotte and his 6 siblings. He was preceded in death by his son Randy Jr. (2005) and his father Roland (2003).
A private memorial will be held with family. To honor Randy, raise a glass the next time you watch your favorite sporting event and remember him with a smile.
