Robert "Bert" Rank, 81, of Woodstock, IL passed away on November 1, 2017 in his home.
He was born on May 26, 1936 in Awana, WI the son of Albert and Agnes (Blome) Rank. Bert a Veteran, and served in the US Army from 1959-61. He had worked at McHenry FS for 39 years and Plastic Coil for 15 years prior to retirement. Bert was a wonderful father, husband, grandfather, and greatgrandfather, that will be deeply missed. He was a member of Grace Lutheran Church since 1943, on the Church Council and Chief Usher for many years.
Survivors include his wife, Carol (Carlson) Rank, whom he married on April 21, 1956; four sons, Steve (Rumell), Scott , Shawn, and Shane (Beth) Rank; four grandsons, Andrew (Vanessa), Brandon (Amanda), Christopher and Tyler; great grandson, Rylen; and a sister in law, Judy Rank.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and his brother, Alvin James Rank.
Private service and burial will be held at McHenry County Memorial Park.
Memorials may be made to Grace Lutheran Church, Woodstock or JourneyCare Hospice of Woodstock and Barrington.

Carol, Accept my sympathy at Bert's passing. I have also been there, in such a loss as you are now at, during this difficult time. How grateful you must be for the years of love you have had, growing up together in our high school class in Woodstock, marriage and having a family to carry on your dreams and love since the 1950's.
