Sandra Galassi Obituary

Sandra M. Galassi
Born: September 4, 1938 in Janesville, WI
Died: May 13, 2025 in Janesville, WI
Sandra M Galassi, age 86, of Janesville, WI, died on May 13, 2025, surrounded by her children at home. She was born on September 4, 1938, to Edward and Marjorie (Wiseman) Stevenson.
Sandra first and foremost loved her family so much. Sandra and her husband Richard decided they wanted to have a big family so they chose to adopt many children over the years. They had 18 altogether, biological, adopted, or long-term foster. Sandra's second love was to her faith. Her Love for the lord was like no other love. She was active in Bible studies even ones she had started in different places her and Richard had lived.
Some of Sandra's proudest times were when she worked for Argon National Laboratories as well as at the Abby in Lake Geneva. Sandra was a hospice volunteer for 25 years. Her heart was so full of so much giving and love and support for people and their loved ones. Some of Sandra's hobbies over the years were cooking for her large family, her love for classical music, reading, watching and listening to the birds with her dear husband Richard, getting together with friends and family, and reminiscing of the good old days. Spending time with her kids and grandchildren and great-grandchildren they brought so much comfort and joy to her. Some of Sandra's favorite things were good smelling lotions and body wash.... a soft cuddly blanket... essential oils..... Fox News and Christian broadcasting. Sandra is now "HOME" with her husband and three of her boys and the Lord.
Sandra is survived by her children: Tina (Chris) Wasson, Rocco Galassi, James (Melody) Galassi, Tom Galassi, Michael Austin, Patty Vrana (Chuck), and Kelly Herrara Galassi; 21 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; longtime friends: Gary and Maryann Kawall, Bob and Linda Kimball, and Brad Johnson; brothers, Charles (Jane) Stevenson and William (Sue) Stevenson; and special niece, Cheryl (David) Peterson. Sandra was preceded in death by her husband, Richard; sons: David Austin, Daniel Austin, and Larry Stenberg; and her parents.
