Susan M. Stattel, age 53, of McHenry, passed away Wednesday, December 21, 2016, at Centegra Hospital-McHenry.
Susan was born November 9, 1963, to the late Thomas and Marian (Annala) Chyllo. On June 22, 1998, she married the love of her life, John Stattel, in Las Vegas, NV.
Susan was an avid reader. She enjoyed traveling, camping, boating, and spending time up at Grandma's Lake. Susan loved her fur babies very much.
Susan is survived by her loving husband of 18 years, John; and her dogs Ziva and Lola. She is further survived by sister, Diane (Mike) Chyllo Schutz; and many cousins.
In addition to her parents, Susan was preceded in death by her in-laws, Charles and Ann Stattel.
A visitation will be held Sunday, January 1, 2017, from 12:00am to 6:00pm, at the Schutz residence, 7915 Pinoak Drive, Wonder Lake, IL. A prayer service will be said at 3:00pm.
In lieu of flowers, memorials in Susan's name may be made to the American Cancer Society, 1114 N. Arlington Heights Rd, Arlington Heights, IL 60004.

My sincere sympathy John and Family. Worked with Sue in the Bake Shop of Jewel Osco in McHenry and it was my pleasure getting to know Sue. She was strong in all she endured during her illness and is now at peace. God Bless.
