Thomas Doetsch, 84, of Huntley passed away Monday, October 25, 2021.
He was born August 18, 1937, in Palatine the son of Matthew and Marie (Sausser) Doetsch. On November 23, 1957 he married Gertrude Wagner in Buffalo Grove. Tom was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church in Huntley. Tom enjoyed a long retirement from Illinois Bell, he loved traveling, playing golf, and spending time on the family farm, and he loved to play fantasy football with his son and grandsons. He will be deeply missed.
He is survived by his three children, Debra Buenzow, Nancy (Mike) Miller, and Michael (Julie) Doetsch; grandchildren, Jaclyn (Frank) Luedtke, Katelyn (Jake) Boston, Megan (Scott) Sevon, Jileena (Victor) Fernandez, Nicholas Buenzow, Amy Doetsch, Michelle Doetsch, Cassie Miller, Jessica Doetsch; great-grandchildren, Frank Luedtke, Brooklyn Sevon, Gertrude Luedtke, and Gemma Sevon; and brother, Matthew (Janet) Doetsch.
He is preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Gertrude on April 3, 2006; two sons, Thomas and Joseph Doetsch.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 AM on Saturday, October 30, at St. Mary Catholic Church, 10307 Dundee Rd. in Huntley. Following cremation, Inurnment will be in St. Mary Cemetery.
Visitation will be at the church prior to mass from 9 to 10 AM.
Memorials in his name may be directed to the St. Vincent de Paul Society.
