Died: January 17, 2017
Val John Budd III, 61, passed away January 17, 2017.
A visitation will be 1:00 to 2:00 p.m. Saturday, January 21 at Holy Cross Lutheran Church, 7851 W. 119th Street, Overland Park, KS; followed by a celebration of his life at 2:00 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to Harvesters Food Bank of Kansas City, MO.
Val was born August 17, 1955, the son of Val John Budd Jr. and Dolores (Johnson) Budd, in Hinsdale, Illinois. He was raised in Cary, Illinois.
Val is preceded in death by both parents.
He is survived by his wife of 28 years, Cindy; two sons, Andrew Val Budd and Eric Joseph Budd; brother, Scott Budd and wife Pamela; sister, Nancy Anderson and husband Scott; and his nieces and nephews, Justin, Adam and Emily Budd; and Matthew and Hanna Anderson.

It saddens me greatly to hear of Skip's passing. My deepest sympathies to his family and friends. He was a good friend of mine in my early college days but we lost touch when I transferred to an out of state school. I did try to find him on occasion over the years and would very much appreciate hearing from Scott for whom I left a message with the funeral director.

I was sorry to hear of Skipper's passing. We were neighbors growing up and spent many a summer day running around Brigadoon. May good memories bring you strength when you need it most.
