Valentin Bilenko, 72, of Cary, was born on February 26, 1946 in Germany to Alexander and Alexandra Bilenko. He passed away Sunday, August 5, 2018 in McHenry.
Val was a proud Army veteran, stationed in Germany for three years. He worked for Jewel Tea Company for 27 years and for Black Dot Company for 10 years. Val was a devoted, loving father and cherished his only granddaughter.
Valentin is survived by his wife of 51 years, Maria (nee Krupa) Bilenko, whom he married on June 24, 1967 in Chicago; his daughters, Jennifer (Michael) Salamh, and Annette Schmidt; his granddaughter, Lexi Schmidt; his sisters, Maria (the late Richard) Kulasiveg, and Helen Sonenberg; and his nephews.
He is preceded in death by his parents.
A memorial visitation will be held from 3:00pm until time of memorial service at 6:30pm, Saturday, August 11, 2018 at Davenport Family Funeral Home, 419 E. Terra Cotta Ave., Crystal Lake. Interment private.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to the American Heart Assn. www.heart.org.
