William Albert Guetschow

William Albert Guetschow, 85, of Glenview, IL, passed away on June 9th, 2023 in Evanston, Illinois, at Westminster Place while under hospice care. He was born on August 3, 1937 in Harvard, Illinois, to William Albert and Anna Mildred (Pihl) Guetschow.
Bill graduated from Harvard High School in 1955 and graduated from the University of Illinois with an engineering degree. He served in the United States Army, and had a long and distinguished career in management with Illinois Bell from 1960 to 1991.
Bill was preceded in death by his parents, an infant sister, Caroline, his sister, Dorothy and her husband, Rev. Clifford W. Baumann, his sister, Marion, and her husband, Richard Burton, and his nieces Sarah and Lynnea Burton. He is survived by his nieces Carol Baumann of Dubuque, IA, Cindy (Mark) Anderson of Rochester, IL, Susan (Bob) Pruessing of Walworth, WI, and Ruth (Tim) Lewis Hudson WI, and his nephew David Burton of Lake Geneva, WI.
A memorial service will be held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, August 5th, 2023, at Trinity Lutheran Church in Harvard, IL, with a luncheon to follow. Interment will be in Mount Auburn Cemetery. Memorials may be made to Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, 2328 Central Rd, Glenview, IL 60025.
