Allene Yester

Allene L. Yester Merrillville, IN Allene L. Yester, age 94, born in Watson, IN to Lula M. Nolen and Earl Friend, passed away at Wittenberg Lutheran Manor on June 20, 2005. She was a sixty-five year resident of Merrillville, IN. She was retired from Oakdale Coat Company in Crown Point, IN. She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles G. Yester in 1978; son, Charles R. Yester in 2003 and grandson, Richard C. Yester in 1992. Also her parents; one sister, Naomi Roszell, and two brothers: Kenneth Friend and Ralston Friend. Allene is survived by one daughter, Barbara (Robert) Blimm of Merrillville; grandchildren: Lori (Kevin) Mehay, Steven (Karen) Blimm, Jennifer (Kelly) Vowell, Angela (Greg) Jurasevich, Daniel (Kathy) Yester and Chad (T-Kay) Yester. Also survived by 15 great-grandchildren and three step-great-grandchildren; brother-in-law, James Roszell of Orange, IN; and sister-in-law, Betty (Bob) Kolmodin of Lockport, IL; several nieces and one nephew. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, June 23, 2005 at 12:30 p.m. at the Burns Funeral Home, 10101 Broadway, Crown Point with Rev. Richard J. Ungrodt officiating. Interment Calumet Park Cemetery, Merrillville. Friends may visit with the family at the Burns Funeral Home on Thursday from 10:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. (time of services).
