ANASTASIA KRESICH "ESTHER" (NEE GIANNOPOULOS) EAST CHICAGO, IN Anastasia “Esther” Kresich (nee Giannopoulos), age 83, of East Chicago, IN passed away Monday, September 9, 2013 at Munster Med-Inn. Esther is survived by her three sons: John (Jean) Kresich, Chris Kresich, and Steven (Nellie Reillo) Kresich; two grandsons: Alexander and Kyle Kresich; three step-grandsons: Troy, Blake and Richard Caldwell; brothers-in-law: Louis (Ann) Kresich, Edward (late Jean) and Frank (late Shirley) Kresich; nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by husband, John; brother, William (late Kathryn) Giannopoulos; sister, Antonia (late Magar) Mamelson. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, September 14, 2013 at 12:00 p.m. DIRECTLY at St. George Greek Orthodox Church, 528 W. 77th Avenue, Schererville, IN with Father Constantine Aliferakis, officiating. Burial to follow at Ridgelawn Cemetery, Gary, IN. Visitation will be Friday, September 13, 2013 from 3:00 to 8:00 pm at FIFE FUNERAL HOME, 4201 Indianapolis Blvd., East Chicago, IN. Trisagion service 6:00 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. Esther was a member of the Ladies of Philoptochos Society at St. George Greek Orthodox Church. In lieu of flowers, donations to the family would be appreciated.
