EVANSVILLE, IN - Ann Elizabeth Davies, 70, of Evansville, IN, and formally of Valparaiso, IN, passed away May 4, 2024.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Bettye (Karger) Davies and Robert Davies. She is survived by her brother, David Davies (Janice) of Evansville; and sister, Jane Davies of Georgetown, DC; nieces: Alethea (Davies) Zabrowski and Elizabeth Cook; and nephews: Kurt Davies and AJ Cook.

Ann graduated from Dexter Grade School and William Henry Harrison High School class of 1972. She obtained a Bachelor of Arts: Physical Education/Health degree from Adrian College in Michigan, Class of 1976, and a Master's Degree from Indiana University. During high school she participated in the band and marching band, easily recognized as the shortest member playing the largest instrument a sousaphone.

Ann grew up in a world of Athletics, including Swimming, Field Hockey and Track at the High School and College levels. Her network of past students, teaching colleagues, and animal loving friends is truly amazing. In a recent conversation Ann commented "I am living my dream, being back in Evansville and continuing to help animals by providing them a safe place."

Though I was a BF Student, I was not a student of her's, however her tenacity and spirit could be felt. She has inspired countless students and athletes. Her energy and influence will be felt for many years to come. Valpo is a better place because of Ann, Miss. Davies to many!
