Ann Marie Pellar
July 27, 1956 - Mar. 20, 2023
Ann Marie Pellar passed away at age 66 on March 20, 2023 surrounded by her husband and four loving children. Ann was born on July 27, 1956 in Cheverly, Maryland to William and Emilie Liston. She grew up in Muncie, Indiana surrounded by a large family that included five siblings. Ann was always looking after others. She graduated college with a degree in physical therapy where she was top of her class. It was in graduate school that she found true love with her husband Russell Pellar. There is a quote that says, "Each day I love you more, today more than yesterday and less than tomorrow." This was their relationship as they built a family and love that was one for the ages. Their love provided the perfect example of what a marriage should be to their eight kids and eleven grandchildren. The center of Ann's world was always her husband, children, and grandchildren and she was the center of theirs. She taught them never ending love, kindness, and to be steadfast in their beliefs.
Her parents, father-in-law, and brother-in-law and nephew preceded her in death. Ann is survived by her loving husband of 44 years Dr. Russell Pellar; her children Katherine (Brandon) Hurey, Kelly (Matthew) Glaros, Joseph (Laura) Pellar, and Stephanie (Logan) Patterson; her grandchildren Lyla and Kelsey Hurey, Jaxon, Tag, Tessa, and Bodhi Glaros, Isabelle and Joseph Pellar, and Ford, Porter and Baby Patterson; her mother-in-law Elaine Pellar; her siblings, Linda (Dan) Jackson, Michelle Rotz, Dan (Michele Seipp) Liston, Tricia Kitchell, Kevin Liston and numerous nieces and nephews.
On Thursday, March 23, 2023 a visitation will be held at Kish Funeral Home located at 10000 Calumet Avenue, Munster Indiana from 3:00 to 7:00 PM. A Catholic mass will be held at St. Paul's Church located at 1855 West Harrison Boulevard, Valparaiso, Indiana at 10:00 AM on March 24, 2023.
Ann fought pancreatic cancer courageously. She went through two clinical trials in the hope that she would find a cure for herself and others. In lieu of flowers, you may consider a donation to the Pancreatic Cancer Network and PurpleStride Team Unstoppable Hope. www.pancan.org/purplestride

To the Pellar family,
My deepest condolences. Although I never met your family, Ann and you all have been in my prayers. My husband Joel knew Ann as a customer and talked fondly of her. When he was diagnosed during the same week as Ann, of the same cruel disease, our daughter Laura reached out to Kelly and Russ. We were determined to cure my husband and your mother / wife. I prayed for more time with our loved ones to cure them. We will continue the fight in their honor. May God, your angel, and others comfort you during this extremely difficult time.
