HAMMOND, IN - Anne M. Zimny (Dabrowski) age 101 of Hammond, IN passed away peacefully in her home with loved ones by her side on Saturday, Sept. 30, 2023. She was the beloved wife of Alfred C. Zimny who passed away Oct. 11, 1992. Loving mother of Ronald, late Gregory, Stanley (Chris) and daughter Linda. Cherished Grandmother of Crystal Sculley, Stephanie Zimny, Samantha Zimny (Travis) and Scott Zimny. Great-grandmother (Bushia) to Alexis Sculley, Aleigha Roundy (John) and Brendan Sculley (Autumn). Great-great grandmother (Bushia) to Aislynn, Avery, Kain, Charley and Jaxon. Loved by many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

She was also preceded in death by two brothers, Stanley, and Johnny Dabrowski and two sisters, Mary Koziol and Victoria Pisowicz.

Anne was born and raised in Chicago (Hegewisch) IL on April 30, 1922. Her parents were Joseph and Stella Dabrowski. Anne lived most of her life in Hammond as a loving homemaker. Enjoyed taking care of her family and worked in the family businesses of Lindy's Foods and Robin's Meats. She enjoyed reading, gardening, playing games and spending time with family. She opened her home to many. Anne also loved playing Bunco, was a member of the Ladies Rosary Society of St. Casimir Church, which she was a member for 70 years. She also was a volunteer Pink Lady at St. Margaret's Hospital and loved to travel. She was dearly loved and will be missed by many.

A visitation will be held Thursday, October 5, 2023 from 9:00 to 10:45 a.m. at ACEVEZ FUNERAL H OME, (formerly Anthony & Dziadowicz) 4404 Cameron Ave. Hammond.

A Funeral Mass will be held at 11:00 a.m. at St. Casimir Catholic Church, on the corners of Cameron and Huehn, with Rev. Terry J. Steffens officiating.

A burial will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery, Calumet City, IL.
