Bertha Juanita Lagneau (Keene) Princeton/Hammond, IN Bertha Juanita (Keene) Lagneau, age 73 of Princeton, IN, departed this life on the 24th day of December, 2004, at home with her loving husband, Tom at her side. Bertha will be sadly missed, but forever loved in the hearts of her husband and children. She was born in Bicknell, IN, January 24, 1931. She was a housewife and mother. She and her husband moved to Princeton in 1986 from Hammond, IN where they had lived for 37 years. She was a member of the St. John Bosco Catholic Church in Hammond where she was a member of the Rosary Society. She was preceded in death by her only son, Robert F. Lagneau; grandson, Jared M. Finger; her parents, Robert and Mary Keene and five of her sisters. She is survived by her husband of 57 years, Thomas (Tom) Lagneau; daughters, Cathy Burk, Linda and Mike Poremba, Diana and Greg Bonnell, Juliette Lagneau, Rosemary and Scott Grady, Martha and Rick Canter, Mary Saunders, Rita Jines; daughter-in-law, Rita Lagneau, as well as grandsons, Rusty, Mark, Jeff, Greg, Jr., John Thomas, John Scott, Evan, Vincent, Kevin, Jonathan, Joshua; granddaughters, Serena, Veronica, Amanda, Amy, Ashley, Angela, Alyssa, Alexis; great- grandsons and great-granddaughters. Brothers and sisters, Roy and Debbie Keene of Ragsdale, IN, Larry Keene of Bunker Hill, IN, Vernon Keene of Bicknell, IN, Elma Hollars of Lyons, IN, Minnie Phipps and Julie Shoptaw both of Bicknell, IN. There will be a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, December 28, 2004 at the St. Joseph Catholic Church in Princeton with the Rev. Bernie Etienne officiating. Burial will be in the Bicknell Memorial Cemetery in Bicknell, IN. Visitation will be at the Colvin Funeral Home in Princeton from 2:00-4:00 and 6:00-8:00 p.m. Monday, where a wake service will be held at 7:00 p.m. Monday.
