Betty W. Bryant, age 100, of Schererville, formerly of Hammond, entered into the presence of her Lord and Savior on Monday, February 24, 2025.
She is survived by her two loving children: Sue A. (Richard W.) Strayer and Daniel W. (Diane) Bryant; 4 wonderful grandchildren: Jacob and Adam Strayer, Jessica (Matthew) Gonzalez and Kristina (Guillermo) Favela; six great-grandchildren, Sofia, Abel, Olivia, Guillermo, Ronaldo and Elio; Many nieces, nephews, great nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Betty was preceded in death by her husband of 55 years, Pastor Hilton Bryant; parents, Solomon and Cacelia Snyder; five brothers, Paul (Yvonne), Ray (Marcia), Don (Bessie), Leo (Sylvia), Roy (Lorena) Snyder; as well as her best friend, Grandma Lupe Saucedo.
Friends are invited to meet with the family for a time of visitation on Sunday, March 2, 2025, from 3 to 7 p.m. at Bocken Funeral Home, 7042 Kennedy Avenue, Hammond IN 46323. Funeral Service will be held on Monday, March 3, 2025, at 11 a.m. at Bocken Funeral Home, with Pastor Edward Cunningham officiating. A graveside service will take place at 2:30 p.m. (eastern time) at Fair Cemetery in Lakeville, IN.
Betty was born in Marshall County, IN. She and her husband Hilton served the Lord in various capacities over their 55 years of marriage. Betty was retired as bookkeeper, she worked at Lapaz elevator and later Terrace Park Church of God where her husband Hilton Bryant was Pastor from 1969 until 2013.
