I may or might have met Betty, I am not sure. I used to live accros the street opposite your house and used to play at their lawn and climbing the big mango tree. I am close to Jack and Particularly Bob who was my classmate, co-grad and teammate in the CHS soccer team.I remember his older sis Myra and elder bro Jack. Last met Bob and his elder brother who then was at the Air Force then at the Air Force at 'Nam. My regards and wishing you all in the family the best, Regards and God Bless

As another of Gloria Skievaski Amerson's (Auntie Betty's sister) grandchildren, I'm sorry to hear the loss of another of our family. My prayers go out to all those who knew and loved her. May she rest in peace with our Lord. (And that coffee cake sounds divine, if anyone wants to post the recipe, or email it, I would be honored to try one of Auntie Betty's specialties!)

My thought and prayers are with all of our family during this saddened time. I am Gloria Amerson's (Sister to Aunt Betty) oldest grandchild, Kristie Amerson-Maule. I do believe that when Great Grandma came from the Philippines I may have met Aunt Betty then, but unsure. I wish I would have known her better, I'm sure she was an amazing person.
Big hugs and lots of love,
Kristie

My thoughts and prayers go out to the family. I am one of Gloria Amerson's (Aunty Betty's sister)granddaughters.(Sandie Amerson Ritter is my mother)
I am so sorry for your loss. I honestly don't remember if I ever had the pleasure of meeting, Aunty Betty, or not. If I did, I was so very young and just don't remember it. I am sure she was a fantastic lady, just as my grandma was.
I love the fact that the Pearman Girls, baked in her memory, how wonderful.

My heart breaks for all of my cousins, Uncles & Aunties due to the loss of my Auntie Betty. She was my Momma's (Gloria) older sister, and the bond between them did not dimenish, although the miles separated them; until my own sweet Momma passed away. These two sisters had kept in regular contact throughout the years. Our Momma made sure we all knew who our Auntie Betty was, and shared many, many precious stories with us about their relationship; One that really stands out in my mind is that My Auntie was a prisoner of the Japanese & my Momma, although very young, would dress as a little old woman & take my Auntie's baby into the prison everyday so she could feed her baby son. What love & devotion they had for each other throughout the years. When my Momma became critically ill, my Auntie & my cousin Carmen flew out to California to spend time with her. And now again...my Auntie has gone to be with my Momma. I can't even imagine the glorious reunion with the Lord, my Grandma & Grandfather Skii and all their/our loved ones that they are enjoying, as they look down upon all of us from Heaven! The loss for all of us is great, but the memories will keep us until we are all together with the Lord...what a day that will be! God's richest blessings to each of you...

When I was younger our families would get together for wonderful meals. I remember coming to the house in Indiana and hanging out with Aunty Betty and all my cousins. She had so many bowling trophies! My thoughts are with all my cousins and their families now. Love, Joanne Skievaski Engle (Jack's daughter, previously from Orland Park, now San Francisco and Seattle)

My thoughts and prayers are with all the family during this time. We all felt her strong sense of family. She would want a celebration of her life, not a sadness at her passing. She was truly a special lady and will be sorely missed.

Although I never had the pleasure to know Betty, reading her obituary let me know that she had a full and successful life and leaves many successors. I have been fortunate to know her daughter Carmen, of whom Betty could be very proud. I know that Carmen and the rest of the family will carry Betty with them in their hearts and minds as they carry on their lives. My sincere condolences to the family. Louise Polansky, Indianapolis

Everyone who knew Mrs.Pearman can tell you that she was a person who welcomed everyone into her home. There were too many dinners and picnics to name but the food was lovingly prepared. She was a great cook...and a family matriarch.
