Bonnie Marie Hook

BONNIE MARIE HOOK LAKE STATION, IN Bonnie Marie Hook, 60, of Lake Station, passed away at 5:25 a.m. Monday, October 20, 2014 at Porter County Hospital. She had been in failing health for nearly three years. She was born August 18, 1954 in Gary, IN to the late Robert J. and Minnie J. (Jensen) Hook and was a 1972 graduate of River Forest High School. Miss Hook worked for McGills of Valparaiso on the assembly line for ten years until retiring due to her health. Previously she worked at Golden Living Fountain View Place in Portage. Bonnie loved working with kids in the Portage school system and enjoyed reading, working on crafts and visiting with friends and family. Surviving are her siblings: Geraldine J. Hook and James R. Hook, both of Lake Station and a twin sister, Connie A. Gilbert (husband: Donnie Wayne) of Chesterton, IN. She is also survived by her beloved pets Sammy, Sadie and Henry and many cousins and dear friends. Friends may call from 10:00 a.m. until the time of funeral service at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, October 23, 2014 at Graceland Cemetery Chapel, Valparaiso, IN, Pastor Mike Eddy to officiate. Interment to follow in Graceland Cemetery.
