Carl Speichert Obituary
November 2, 1937 - November 1, 2023
Carl G. Speichert age 85 of Cedar Lake passed away peacefully at his home on November 1, 2023. He is survived by his daughter, Michelle (Joe) Sanders; granddaughter, Ariel Sanders; grandson, Aaron Sanders; great-grandchildren, Gracelyn and Orion; brothers, Rick (Sharon) Speichert, Mark (Nancy) Speichert; and
many nieces and nephews. Carl was preceded in death by his parents, Carl and Irene Speichert; and son, Greg Speichert.
Carl was a graduate of Purdue University with a degree in Electrical Engineering. He was owner of Ottosons Machine Repair, where he continued to work until his recent illness. Carl was the Hanover Township Assessor for many years. Carl was a lifelong learner with many interests including working in his greenhouse, beekeeping, and making wine from the grapes he grew.
