GARY, IN - Carol Salazar (nee Schroeder), age 84, of Gary, IN passed away on Tuesday, October 17, 2023.
Family and friends may gather at REES FUNERAL HOME, Hobart Chapel (600 W Old Ridge Rd., Hobart) on Sunday, October 22, 2023 from 2:00-6:00 P.M. A Mass of Christian Burial will take place at Nativity of Our Savior Catholic Church (2949 Willowcreek Rd., Portage) on Monday, October 23, 2023 at 11:00 A.M. Visitation will be held a half hour before mass beginning at 10:30 A.M. At Rest, Calumet Park Cemetery.

Al and Family, I am saddened to learn of Mrs. Salazar’s passing. I always appreciated her outspoken ways, for I understood that they were rooted in a deep love for family, friends, and community.
