Charles A. Urdiales, age 97, of Schererville, IN passed away peacefully Monday, January 23, 2017. Beloved husband of the late Aurelia Urdiales and late Margaret Urdiales. Loving father of Pauline (Joseph) Kozlowski and the late Charles Urdiales Jr. Dear grandfather of Robert Chorak, Anthony Chorak, Jodi (Tom) Payonk and Lisa (David) Kusiak. Great grandfather of McKenna. Dearest brother of Alfred (late Margaret) Urdiales. Visitation Thursday, January 26, 2017 from 3:00 - 8:00 p.m. Funeral service Friday, January 27, 2017 at 10:30 a.m. at Smits Funeral Home, 2121 Pleasant Springs Lane (Rt. 30 & Pleasant Springs Ln.), Dyer, IN with services conducted by Rev. Ted Mauch. Interment St. Mary Cemetery - Evergreen Park, IL. Mr. Urdiales was a U.S. Army Veteran.
