Clarke G. Gholson Carmel, IN Clarke G. Gholson, age 59, of Carmel, IN, formerly of Highland, passed away suddenly at home on Monday, October 24, 2005. He is survived by his wife of 18 years, Gail (nee Sweeney); three sons: Matt Gholson of Highland, Adam (Kristy) Gholson of Highland and Jason (Sarah) Payne of Griffith; three daughters: Jennifer Van Horssen of Carmel, IN, Julie Payne of Schererville and Jessica Payne of Hammond; three grandchildren: Cherylynn Gholson, Joey and Jonathan Van Horssen; one brother, Mark (Vicki) Gholson of Granger, IN; uncle and aunt: Elwood and Ruth Gholson of Colorado Springs, CO. Preceded in death by his beloved first wife, Cheryl; parents: Otis and Lois Gholson and granddaughter, Samantha Van Horssen. Funeral services will be held on Friday, October 28, 2005 at 10:00 a.m. at the Redeemer Lutheran Church, 9009 Kennedy Avenue, Highland, with Rev. Arthur Burkman, officiating. Burial at Chapel Lawn Memorial Gardens, Schererville. Friends may call at the Fagen-Miller Funeral Home, 2828 Highway Avenue, Highland on Thursday from 2 to 8 p.m. Mr. Gholson was formerly employed at NIPSCO for 31 years and presently employed at MISO in Carmel, IN. He was a former member of the Highland Volunteer Fire Department for 13 years. Memorials to the Redeemer Lutheran Church would be appreciated.
