I graduated with Curtis from Lew Wallace in 1974. We shared some classes together during our four years there. He was a very nice person. It is a shock when you open the paper and see one of your former classmates has passed on at such a young age. You always wonder what happened to your former classmates, and seeing things like this is very hard to take. My sympathies to the whole Palmateer family and their friends.

My sympathy to Curtis's family. I have known Curtis since high school. From all the good times at the beach in Miller, to opening day of time trials at Indy, I will never forget that hearty laugh and big smile. Every time I saw Curtis, he always made me feel like I was his best friend. Every May I think about the great times we always had at Indy during opening day of time trials. Even though I have not seen Curtis in a number of years, I always thought "we all" would get together for one more.

He is now with some of our other friends and family. God Bless Him.

Nick and family, please accept my deepest sympathy during this trying time. My family will keep you in our prayers.

June 29, 2005

Both my husband and I met Curtis through close friends Chuck & Cathy Haskell. I was always struck by the fact that Curtis had a ready smile and willingness to help in any way possible whenever he was needed. All his friends and family as well as aquaintences were blessed to know him. Jeanine, having been where you are now, know that my thoughts and prayers are with you and your children. This is one of if not the most difficult times you will ever experience but know that Curtis is still there. In your memories, your thoughts, your futures and most of all in your heart.

To the Palmateer family. I am so sorry for your loss. I'm a former employee at Transcom, and Phelps.

I had a great respect for Curtis , when the company we worked for started down sizing Curtis was the only one who had the respect to come and tell me in person I no longer had a job after 10 years of service. I was upset about losing a job that I devoted 10 years to ,but I was grateful he respected me enough to tell me in person instead of sending me a letter or a phone call as I was going on vacation.

Heavenly Father, please place your loving arms around this family during there time of trouble and sorrow at the loss of a great Father ,loving husband, excellant co-worker,boss. Heavenly father help them to remeber and cherish all the good memories he has left them with. Father god give us all the love and care we need to get through are times of sorrow embrace us Lord Jesus,we know you are the ultimate Father , you know the pain and suffering we all feel now just embrace dear God love us Lord.

Amen
