Daniel Hensley Obituary
December 25, 1969 - June 23, 2023
Daniel Stephen Hansley, 53, died from unexpected lung failure June 23, 2023. Dan was born in Kankakee, IL on December 25, 1969, the son of Douglas S. Hensley and Barbara (Dwight) McKean. Dan graduated form Hobart High School in 1988. He attended Purdue University in West Lafayette, IN. Dan went on to pursue a career as a Mechanical Engineer. Daniel was a loved and respected Facilities Manager at the Aria and the Vdara Hotels and Casinos. Dan was loved by those he worked with, but he also loved all those he worked with.
In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his step-father Howard McKean, brothers Derek and Anthony Davis; sister Kelly McKean. Surviving in addition to his wife and soul mate Susan Miller; are six children: Vanessa Alcantara and her husband Chris, Samantha Fernandez and her husband Jose, Alexandria Mills and her spouse Andrew, Caitlin Vasquez, Rebecca Vasquez, and son Timothy Hansley and his spouse Cindy, ten grandchildren: Olivia, Ari, Story, Isla, Zachary, Regan, Fable, Ilya, River and Zoe. Dan lived his family with all his heart and will be missed by Aunts, Uncles, and many cousins. Dan is now in Heaven with Jesus Christ and God himself. Rest in Heaven
A Service of Celebration will be held from 4pm to 7pm, Sunday September 17, 2023 at the Forge Social House, Boulder City, NV 89005. Family and friends can sing an online memorial guestbook at www.starmortuary.com
