David Eugene DeVries

David Eugene DeVries Wheatfield, IN David Eugene DeVries, age 50, of Wheatfield, IN, passed away December 6, 2005 at his residence. He was born on March 26, 1955 in Chicago Heights, IL to Paula "Jean" (Grugel) and Theodore DeVries, both survive. David was a graduate of Kankakee Valley High School, Class of 1973. On December 16, 2000, he married Debra Campbell in DeMotte, IN, she survives. He was a carpenter with Carpenters Union 599 and had also worked at BP Amoco as a carpenter. Member of DeMotte Christian Church, Hebron Masonic Lodge #502 F &AM, Scottish Rite Valley of South Bend and Orak Shrine. David is survived by his wife, Debra DeVries of Wheatfield, IN; children: Christiana (Richard) Rose, Shannon (Andy) Bakker and Valerie DeVries, all of DeMotte, IN; grandchildren: Breanna, Hunter and Sydney Rose, Tyler Bakker. His parents: Theodore (Paula "Jean") DeVries of DeMotte, IN; brothers and sisters: Donna (Rick) Zahler of Crown Point, IN, Darla (Dan) Minkler of Clermont, FL, Doug (Norma) DeVries of Fair Oaks, IN, Dennis (Sandy) DeVries and Danny (Darci) DeVries, both of Rensselaer, IN. Family and friends may call on Thursday, December 8, 2005 from 2 to 8 p.m. with a Masonic service at 7:00 p.m. at Jackson Funeral Service, DeMotte, IN. Funeral services will be held on Friday, December 9, 2005 at 10:30 a.m. at DeMotte Christian Church, with Pastor David Buche, officiating. Interment at Holland Cemetery, DeMotte, IN. Memorials may be made to the DeMotte Christian Church.
