Diane K. Bardoczi, (nee Mucha) age 73, of Hammond, entered into eternal life on Thursday, February 27, 2025.
She is survived by her loving husband of 28 years, Frank Bardoczi Jr.; five children: Nicole (Michael) Moldovan, Katherine Darnell, Stanley (Chelsea) Darnell, Prudence (Brian) Moseley, Tonya (Danny) Bryant; 10 grandchildren: Alexis (Manuel) Guerra, Shaquilla Darnell, Blake (Esmeralda) Moldovan, Darius Shorter, Romeo Darnell, Paige Darnell, Haleigh (Riley) Akers, David (Rachael) Darnell, Chad Moseley, Corey Moseley; 10 great-grandchildren; brothers: Mark (Cindy) Mucha and Jim (Jo) Mucha; sister-in-law, Sue Bardoczi; a host of nieces and nephews, Shelly (Dan) Webb, Julie (Ron) Wooley, Amanda Clark, Steve Clark.
Preceded in death by her parents, John and Josephine Mucha, brothers: Luke, John and Gregory Mucha.
Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, March 6, 2025, at 1:00 p.m. at Bocken Funeral Home, 7042 Kennedy Avenue, Hammond (Hessville) with Father Charles Mosley officiating. Burial will follow at Chapel Lawn Cemetery, Schererville, IN. Visitation on Thursday, March 6, 2025, from 10:00 a.m. until the service at 1:00 p.m.
Diane was a native of the region, born in East Chicago and was a 1969 Graduate of Hammond High. She enjoyed being with her kids and grandkids, watching cooking shows and old westerns, sewing, being outdoors and hosting her annual easter egg hunts for the family. Diane was a loving wife, sister, grandmother and great grandmother.

Diane and I went through St. Mary's together and then we were both at Hammond High. I love the picture of her. That was her smile, and it didn't change. Diane was always sweet and nice. Thoughts and prayers for your family.
