Diane Majerski Obituary

Diane Lynn Majerski (nee Finley), born on December 28, 1958, passed away peacefully on January 22, 2025.

Diane grew up in Crown Point, Indiana. She was a proud graduate of Purdue University, where she earned her degree in Metallurgical Engineering. She found joy in volunteering for animal causes and cherished the companionship of her own pets, who were a constant source of happiness throughout her life.

A devoted fan of Elvis Presley, Diane also delighted in attending Cher concerts, embracing the music and memories they brought.

Diane shared 35 wonderful years of marriage with her loving husband, Terrence Majerski. She is also survived by her father, Ron Finley (Shelby); her sisters, Cheryl Wortman (Steve) and Letitia Gustas (Bob); and her cherished nieces and nephews: Michael, Emily, Daniel, Adam, and Stephanie. She was preceded in death by her mother, Judy Finley.

Her warmth and kindness touched the lives of many and will be deeply missed by all who knew her. May her memory bring comfort to those she leaves behind.

To honor Diane and her love for animals, a donation in her name can be made to the National Wildlife Rehabilitators Association, which Diane was a member for several years.

Celebration of life will be held at a later time.

Diane was warm, loving, and ferociously protective of her loved ones. Her compassion for over-looked creatures and loving animals as they were was something I admired in her. I loved my friend, and I´m going to miss her.

I was so terribly sorry to hear of Diane´s passing. I was in her high school class and attended Sunday School with her for years at First United Methodist in Crown Point. She was always cheerful and never had a bad word for anyone. She attended several of our high school reunions and I always sought her out.
I was looking forward to seeing her at our next reunion. Just a wonderful, high-quality person. The world is a lesser place without Diane Majerski in it.
