Donald Knipp Obituary

DONALD M. KNIPP WEST BLOOMFIELD, MI Donald Michael Knipp was united with his Heavenly Father and Savior on June 10, 2014. He was the beloved husband of Eileen; cherished father of Jeff (Victoria), Mark, Paul (Charlene); adored grandfather of Brandon, Crissy, Daniel, and Kenzie (Stephen) Pedde; great grandfather of Isabella Kaylee Pedde; loving brother of Richard (Barbie); brother-in-law of Tom Mudrich, Dan Mudrich, Jr. (Kaz), and Diane (Kurt) Van Atta; uncle of Matthew and Aaron Knipp, Matthew, Lane, Randy (Kelly) Mudrich, Michelle Van Atta, and Mandy (Darren) Grabek; great uncle to numerous nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by his parents: Celia and Michael; brothers: David James (21) and Jerry Thomas (48); and nephew, Ryan Thomas Knipp (32). In 1965, Donald gave his life and heart to Jesus Christ and served him faithfully all of his years, never looking back but always looking towards the prize of eternal life with HIM who set him free from the bondage of sin. He served as an Assembly of GOD Royal Ranger leader, Sunday School Teacher and Youth Pastor, and on the Church Board for many years. Donald loved the Word of God, he loved sharing the Word of God, and all who knew him and of him knew he was a man of GOD. But in life comes many trials to overcome and his failing health in later years finally took its toll. Everyone in the family always anticipated that one day we would lose him, but never expected it to be now. We love him dearly to our GOD be the Glory, he is home where he belongs! Visitation Friday, June 13, 2014 from 2:00-8:00 p.m. Funeral service Saturday at 10:30 a.m. at McCabe Funeral Home, 31950 W. 12 Mile Road, Farmington Hills, MI. Interment to follow at Pine Lake Cemetery, West Bloomfield. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Life Challenge of Southeastern Michigan. www.mccabefuneralhome.com

Dear Eileen, Just learned from Melba and Ken via Mary Russo of Dons' passing. You both are in the memories of the most wonderful times at St. Clair Shores church. God was so gracious to all of us. We remember Dons' love of the Lord and his faithful service. May the Lord be your comfort and I know He is. With Love to you all. Janet and Elmer

Dear Eileen and family,
I am sorry to read of Don's passing, but consoled to hear of his deep faith and dedication to the Lord. He was one of my favorite cousins and always made us laugh. One of my favorite memories is the day there was a White Castle eating competition among the uncles and cousins. Donny ate 18. He was a legend that day and will continue to be in my memory. You are all in my heart and prayers. Love, Barbara Kurowski Hanson
