Edna M. Langston

EDNA M. LANGSTON VALPARAISO, IN Edna M. Langston, age 79, of Valparaiso, passed away Wednesday, December 4, 2013 at the Horton VNA Hospice Center in Valparaiso. Edna was born June 4, 1934 in Corinth, MS to the late Marshall and Ella (Ridge) Lothenore. She was a long time receptionist and secretary at the Portage Adult Education Center, a former clerk for the Portage Public Library. Edna was a member of the Vineyard Church in Valparaiso. She loved her family and her church. Edna is survived by her four daughters: Marsha (Greg) Cherrier of Portage, Judy Stewart of Haslet, TX, Joyce (Don) Giertz of Portage and Karen (Mike) Brison of Crete, IL; one brother, Pastor Bob (Kay) Lothenore of Sherman, TX; 10 grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren; eight great-great grandchildren; many nieces and nephews. Edna was preceded in death by her husband, Aaron Langston; parents; son, Eddie Langston; granddaughter, Lindsey Langston; eight brothers and sisters. Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m. Monday, December 9, 2013 at Rees Funeral Home, Olson Chapel, 5341 Central Ave. with Pastor Bob Lothenore officiating. Burial will follow in McCool Cemetery.
