EDWARD P. BARANKO VALPARAISO, IN
Edward P. Baranko, age 85 of Valpariso, passed away Sunday, April 12, 2015. He is survived by two sons: Robert (Vonnie) Baranko and Thomas (fiancee Laurie) Baranko; five grandchildren: Megan, Matthew, Sydney, Katie, and Brodie; four brothers: Joseph (Jo Anne), Frank (Carol), Richard (Elaine), Peter (Rose) Baranko; sister Elizabeth "Betty Ann" Baranko; and many nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by wife Gloria; parents Andrew and Elizabeth; and brother Andrew (Rose Marie) Baranko. Mr. Baranko was a member of St. Michael Byzantine Catholic Church. He was an Army veteran of the Korean War and a member of American Legion Post #430. He had 30 years of service with U.S. Steel. Family and friends may call at Pruzin Brothers Funeral Service (6360 Broadway, Merrillville) on Wednesday from 2:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. with a Parastas service at 3:00 p.m. Funeral liturgy will be held Thursday, April 16, 2015 at 9:30 a.m. from Pruzin Brothers Chapel and 10:00 a.m. from St. Michael Byzantine Catholic Church (557 W. 57th Ave., Merrillville) with Rev. Basil Hutsko officiating. At rest Graceland Cemetery in Valparaiso. Memorials are preferred to American Cancer Society or Diabetes Association.
