Edward Radowski Obituary

Edward L. Radowski Springfield, IL Edward L. Radowski, age 87, of Springfield, IL, formerly of Lansing, IL, passed away Wednesday, August 29, 2007. He is survived by his daughter, Mary Ellen (Bernard) Zitek of Springfield, IL; son, Michael Radowski of Long Island, NY; four grandchildren: Kristie (Mark) Coyle, Matthew Radowski, and Nickolas and Joseph Zitek; two sisters: Frances (late Walter) Nowakowski and Mary (late Stanley) Jachim; sisters-in-law: Ruth Iwaniec and Frances (late Theodore) Witkowski; and numerous nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by his loving wife, Elinor; parents: Steven and Eleanor Radowski; step-father, John Iwaniec; brothers: Stanley Radowski, William Radowski, Alex Radowski and Harry Iwaniec; sisters-in-law: Florence (late Ed) Adamczyk, Cecilia (late Frank) Mikolajczak, Harriet (late Otto) Rosch and Clara (late Thomas) Podsiadlik. Funeral services will be held Saturday, September 1, 2007 at 8:30 a.m. at the Anthony & Dziadowicz Funeral Home, 9445 Calumet Ave. (at 45th Street), Munster, IN for a 9:00 a.m. Mass at St. Ann Church, Lansing, IL. Burial Holy Cross Cemetery, Calumet City, IL. Visitation will be Friday from 2:00-5:00 and 7:00-9:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Wake service 4:00 p.m. Mr. Radowski was a retired employee of R.R. Donnelley & Sons Company. He was a Fourth Degree member of the Lansing Knights of Columbus Council 3540 (prayer service Friday 7:00 p.m.) and a member of the El Dallo PC. Mr. Radowski was a U.S. Army veteran of WWII having participated in the Invasion of Normandy. He will be greatly missed by his loving family and friends.
