Edward Rehak Obituary

EDWARD L. REHAK LANSING, IL Edward L. Rehak "Hi-Fi", 82 of Lansing passed away Tuesday May 11, 2010 at Ingalls Memorial Hospital in Harvey, IL. Funeral services will be held Friday May 14, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. at Trinity Lutheran Church in Lansing with Rev. Paul Appold officiating. Visitation will be 9:00-11:00 AM prior to services at the church, where memorials may be made to a charity of the donor's choice. Interment will be at Concordia Evangelical Lutheran Cemetery in Hammond, IN. Mr. Rehak was born August 9, 1927 in Chicago, IL a son of Ignac and Gizella (Bercik) Rehak. He married Janet Voigts, June 6, 1953 in Chicago. She survives. Also surviving are one daughter, Margaret Kline of Quincy, IL; two sons: Robert Rehak and James (Robbin) Rehak both of Lansing; seven grandchildren: Michael Kline, Jennifer Kline, Amanda (Eric) Benson, Steven, Joseph and Michelle Rehak, and Thomas Malone. He was preceded in death by his parents; and six brothers. Mr. Rehak worked at Sherwin Williams in Chicago for 36 years until retiring in 1992. He loved spending time with his family, and enjoyed his grandchildren. He was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Lansing and was a 50 year member of IAM Local #49.
