Sifel family,

A sunset on earth is a sunrise in heaven. We are all sorry to hear of Ed's passing. Another East Chicago Washington Senator joins Coach Alex Sarkisian, Johnny Baratto, and Jules Seigle in heaven. We pray that your memories will give you comfort and faith provides you with strength during the days ahead. Rest assured that our classmate is in heaven with no more pain, no more tears, and no more suffering, and that he has touched the face of God. "No eye has seen, no ear has heard, no mind has conceived what God has prepared for those who love Him." 1 Corinthians 2:9 His former classmates and friends send their sympathy to his wonderful family. Wishing you peace and tranquility in your time of sorrow.

Irene and family,

I am so saorry to hear of Ed's passing. We worked very closely while serving on the East Chicago Police Department. I will always remember his humor, his polite and friendly spirit, and his kindness to me and my family. He was surely a friend and a dedicated police officer. I ask God to cradle Ed in His arms and thank Him for giving Ed to us to know and love in our pilgrimage on earth. We are better people for having known Ed. As an expression of appreciation for his honorable and faithful service, I salute you Brother Sifel.

May your memories soothe you, your friends comfort you, and your family's strengh help your hearts begin to heal. May the love you shared sustain you through this time of sorrow. Please accept our deepest sympathy.

Irene, Laura and Family,
So sorry to hear of the passing of our good friend and fellow East Chicago police officer. Ed and I spent many hours working together in the radio room of the old police station and he was a great guy to work with when I was a detective and he was an Inspector (Crime Scene Investigator). He had a great sense of humor and kept things light during some very serious moments. Rest in peace my friend. May your memory be eternal.
