Eileen Robbins Obituary

Eileen Robbins Munster, IN Eileen Robbins, age 87, of Munster, IN, passed away Saturday, October 21, 2006. Survived by three sons: Ron (Barbara) Robbins, Gary (Sharon) Robbins, Keith (Barbara) Robbins; one daughter Linda (Bryan) Whittemore, 14 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband O.C. Robbins and five sisters: Daisy, Chine, Mary, Nina, and Helen. Friends may call Monday from 3-8 p.m. at Burns-Kish Funeral Home, 8415 Calumet Ave, Munster, IN. Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 10:00 a.m. at First United Methodist Church, Cline and 44th Pl., Griffith. Interment will be Tuesday in Memory Lane Cemetery, Schererville. She was an avid gardener and was handy with her hands: knitting, crocheting, quilting, ceramics, canning and word games. She loved birds, the White Sox, music and singing. Mrs. Robbins was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Griffith and Keenagers. In lieu of flower, the family request memorial donations be sent to Hospice of the Calumet Area or First United Methodist Church of Griffith.
