ELEANORE JAKUBIELSKI CROWN POINT, IN Eleanore Jakubielski, age 94 of Crown Point, formerly of Whiting, passed away Thursday, July 11, 2013. She is survived by nieces and nephews: Dorothy (Eugene) Matkowicz of Crown Point, Mary Lou (late Thomas) McClain of Arizona, Lorraine (late Erwin) Gora of Ohio, Theresa Wargo of Whiting, Delores Gabrish, Virginia (Jerry) Southard of Iowa, Marlene Jakubielski of FL, Gertrude (late Raymond) Idzkowski, Robert (Mary Ann) Jakubielski, Fred (late Barbara) Jakubielski of St. John, Richard (Marilyn) Idzkowski of Michigan, Joseph (Joy) Idzkowski of Michigan, and Jane (late Edward) Idzkowski of Michigan. Preceded in death by parents: Vincent and Antoinette Jakubielski; two brothers: William and Joseph Jakubielski; six sisters: Emma Idzkowski, Ann Gabrish, Sylvia Helminski, Margie Gabrish, Josephine Falk, and Alice Dobyns; nephews: Gerald Dobyns, Jack Gabrish, and Lou Gabrish. Eleanore was a member of St. Adalbert Catholic Church in Whiting. She was a retired cashier from A & P Supermarket in Whiting and East Chicago Harbor. Eleanore was a graduate of George Rogers Clark High School. Friends and family may call at St. Anthony Home Chapel, 203 Franciscan Dr., Crown Point on Thursday, July 18, 2013 from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. A Funeral Mass will follow promptly at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Dorothy, I am so sorry to hear about your aunt. I'm glad you had her around until she was 94 what a blessing. Even though I never got to meet your aunt, it has been a pleasure meeting you and your husband and preparing her taxes for you. She was very lucky to have you around taking care of her finances.
