ELI "ILIJA" MARCETA CHESTERTON, IN
Eli Marceta, 89, of Chesterton passed away Wednesday, June 26, 2013. Mr. Marceta was preceded in death by his parents: Jovan and Marija Marceta; brother, Peter Marceta; and sisters: Andja Acamovic and Milica Dijanovic. He is survived by his wife, Ursula; daughter, Barbara (Robert) Radovich of Valparaiso; son, Peter Marceta of Chesterton; grandchildren: Michael Radovich, Robert Radovich, Jr., and Jessica (Jason) Gusic; nieces and nephews: Andja, Lazar, and Spomenka and their families, all of Windsor and Hamilton, Ontario, Canada. He will be fondly remembered and dearly missed. Eli was a lifelong member of St. George Serbian Orthodox Church in East Chicago and a retired employee of Inland Steel Co. with over 35 years of service. He thoroughly enjoyed golf and loved spending time at the beach. Funeral services will be held Monday, July 1, 2013 at 10:00 a.m. DIRECTLY AT St. George Serbian Orthodox Church, 4021 Elm St., East Chicago, IN with Rev. Aleksandar Savic officiating. Interment at Calumet Park Cemetery. Visitation will be Sunday, June 30, 2013 from 4:00-8:00 p.m. at Burns Funeral Home, 10101 Broadway Crown Point.
