ERNEST B. SWART "BOB" HOBART, IN Ernest B. Swart, age 77, of Hobart, passed away on Saturday, May 14, 2011. He was a retired truck driver of Sterling Trucking and Teamsters Local #142 and a member of Gary Lodge F&AM. Bob enjoyed woodworking, working on his house and playing with his dogs: Lacy, Jordan, and Buddy. Many will remember that Bob was more than willing to help a friend in need. Drinking coffee with friends became a favorite past time of his. His parents: Thomas and Bertha Swart, preceded him in death, along with his first wife, Agnes M. Swart, second wife, Joyce F. Swart; son, Brent Childers; and brother, Roger Swart. Bob is survived by seven children: Robert Damron, Lorrayne (Jerry) Agan, Brenda (Wally) Cimbaljevich, Tammy (William) Strickland, Barry (Peggy) Childers, Kimberly (Rich) Jones, David Childers, Gerri Mardis, and Brent Childers; grandchildren: Jennifer Turner, Amber and Joey Childers, Kristina Tonelli, Alex Jones, Marshall and Wesley Strickland, and Jerry and Cameron Agan; great grandchildren: Braxton and Makayla Sanders; sister, Betty (Owen) Blackden; also, other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, May 19, 2011, at 2:00 PM at Burns Funeral Home, 10101 Broadway, Crown Point, IN under Savich & Semplinski Directors. Interment, Calumet Park Cemetery. Visitation will be Wednesday from 4:00-8:00 PM at the funeral home.
