ESSIE BISHOP Obituary
Essie B. Bishop age 93 of East Chicago passed away Saturday, February 6, 2016 at St. Mary Medical Center in Hobart. Survivors are two daughters: Barbara A. Turner of East Chicago and Justine (William) Person of Midway, AL; one son, Mitchell (Fannie) Bishop of East Chicago; 24 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; seven great-great-grandchildren; one sister, Sarah Miles of Atlanta, GA; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, spiritual family and special acquaintance, Ruby Lockett. Preceded in death by three daughters: Dorothy L. Magee, Josie M. Bishop and Ester M. Anderson; two sons: Joseph Bishop and MacArthur Bishop. Private cremation was held at the family's convenience and a memorial service will be planned at a later date. Hinton & Williams Funeral Home is honored to be of service to the Bishop family during their time of loss.
