EUGENE T. CWIOK CROWN POINT, IN

Eugene T. Cwiok, age 83, of Crown Point, IN (formerly of Highland and Lake of the Ozarks, MO), passed away in his home September 9, 2016. He is survived by his loving and devoted wife of 62 years, Terry (nee Niezgoda) Cwiok; childen: Mark (Kathy) Cwiok of Clarkdale, AZ, Scott Cwiok of Jacksonville, FL, Gina (Robert) Vignolo of Crown Point, Eric Cwiok of Boise, ID; granddaughter, Sarah (TJ) Weberg of Lake Dale, IN. Gene served in the Air force as a mechanic on the B-36 airplane and was a Korean War Veteran. He worked at Marcus Auto Leasing in Highland, IN for 21 years, before retiring to Lake of the Ozarks. He was an avid boater, loved living on the lake and teaching his family to water ski. Gene was a very active member of the St. Patrick Catholic Church in Laurie, MO. where he artistically created the Stations of the Cross in stained glass windows for the church. Gene was a member of the Knights of Columbus Council 10381 and a Fourth Degree Knight, Assembly 2111 in MO. He had a love for cars, planes, golfing with his buddies and could fix anything. He will be missed dearly by his family and friends. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Tuesday September 13, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Matthias Church, 101 W Burrell Dr. Crown Point. Rev. Joseph Vamos officiating. Services will conclude at the church with military honors. Friends are invited to visit with Gene's family at the church Tuesday from 10:00 -11:00 a.m. Interment will take place at a later date. In lieu of flowers donations in Gene's name may be sent to St JUDE RESEARCH HOSPITAL or to the Disabled American Veterans.
